I’m testing out mechanics for the next few levels!
First up I’ve got BIG boats, which are much slower (and heavier) than the other ones I’ve been using. In boat-on-boat collisions they act like weaker versions of my bumper buoys, and send the little ones pinging back off at different angles. Actually, I’ve actually added a weight class mechanic for all boats, so it’s possible to have maps with ships of all different sizes bouncing around.
Second up, I’ve been working on the ability to choose where you launch from. This isn’t something that I expect to be in every level – but I was getting a bit sick of launching from the same spot in testing, so I’m toying with it to see how it plays.

The boats are basically done! The launching… less so. Naturally, done in the opposite order I’m gonna need them 🤷 But that’s just how it goes sometimes!
